Clover Health Appoints Industry Veteran as Chief Medical Officer of Medicare Advantage
Newark, NJ - April 25, 2023 - Clover Health, a leading Medicare Advantage and health insurance company, today announced the appointment of Dr. David W. Price as its Chief Medical Officer of Medicare Advantage. Dr. Price brings over 20 years of experience in healthcare leadership and medical practice to the role, and will be responsible for leading Clover's medical strategy and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care to its Medicare Advantage members.

Dr. Price joins Clover Health from SCAN Health Plan, where he served as Chief Medical Officer and led the development of the company's medical strategy and clinical programs. Prior to SCAN, he held various leadership roles at Humana, including Chief Medical Officer for the company's Medicare Advantage division. Dr. Price is a board-certified internist and has a strong background in primary care and population health management.
As Chief Medical Officer of Medicare Advantage, Dr. Price will work closely with Clover's leadership team to develop and implement medical strategies that drive better health outcomes, improve patient satisfaction, and reduce healthcare costs. He will also serve as a key advisor to the company's clinical team, providing guidance on medical policy, clinical programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
