Grayscale Lists Two New Bitcoin ETFs Offering Income from BTC Volatility

April 2, 2025 - Grayscale Investments, a leading digital asset manager, has announced the listing of two new Bitcoin ETFs (exchange-traded funds) on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Arca exchange. The new funds, Grayscale Bitcoin Volatility Income ETF (GBVI) and Grayscale Bitcoin Income ETF (GBI), offer investors a unique way to generate income from the volatility of Bitcoin (BTC) prices.

GBVI and GBI are designed to provide investors with a regular income stream from the fluctuations in Bitcoin prices. The funds will use a combination of options trading and other derivatives strategies to generate returns, while also offering investors exposure to the price movements of Bitcoin.

"We are excited to bring these innovative ETFs to market, allowing investors to tap into the potential of Bitcoin's volatility," said Michael Sonnenshein, CEO of Grayscale Investments. "Our new funds offer a unique way for investors to generate income from the ups and downs of the Bitcoin market, while also providing exposure to the cryptocurrency's long-term growth potential."

GBVI and GBI are the latest additions to Grayscale's growing lineup of Bitcoin ETFs, which currently includes the Grayscale Bitcoin ETF (GBTC) and the Grayscale Bitcoin Cash ETF (GBCH). The new funds are designed to appeal to a broad range of investors, including those seeking income-generating strategies and those looking to add Bitcoin exposure to their portfolios.

The listing of GBVI and GBI on the NYSE Arca exchange marks a significant milestone for Grayscale and the broader digital asset market. The funds are expected to be attractive to investors seeking alternative income streams and those looking to diversify their portfolios with exposure to the rapidly growing cryptocurrency market.
