Former business partner eyes Daryl Heller's family associates in legal action

A former business partner of Daryl Heller, the Lancaster County man who was found dead in his home last month, is suing several family associates and a business entity in connection with Heller's death.

According to court documents, Robert J. Miller, who was in business with Heller for nearly 20 years, is seeking damages from the following individuals and entities:

  • Heller's wife, Deborah Heller
  • Heller's son, Joshua Heller
  • Heller's daughter, Sarah Heller
  • Heller's business partner, Lancaster County businessman John H. "Jack" McCleaf
  • Heller's business entity, Heller's Auction and Appraisal Services

Miller claims that Heller's associates and family members were aware of a "long-standing dispute" between Miller and Heller, and that they took steps to conceal Heller's assets and impede Miller's access to them.

The lawsuit alleges that Heller's associates and family members conspired to mislead Miller about the status of their business partnership, and that they took steps to "freeze out" Miller from their business dealings.

Miller is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs and attorney's fees.

The lawsuit comes as authorities continue to investigate Heller's death, which was ruled a homicide. The Lancaster County District Attorney's Office has not released any information about the investigation, and it is unclear whether the lawsuit is related to the ongoing investigation.

Miller's lawsuit is the latest development in a saga that has captivated the local business community and beyond. Heller was a well-known businessman and auctioneer who was involved in a variety of ventures, including real estate and collectibles. His death has sent shockwaves through the community, and many are eager to learn more about the circumstances surrounding his passing.
