Banco Santander Chile Reports First Quarter 2025 Results

Santiago, Chile, April 7, 2025 – Banco Santander Chile (NYSE: BSAC) today announced its first quarter 2025 results, which showed a strong start to the year.

The bank reported a net income of $234 million, a 12% increase compared to the same period last year. The increase was driven by a 15% growth in net interest income, which reached $443 million. Non-interest income also rose by 8% to $123 million.

"We are pleased to report a strong start to the year, driven by our continued focus on growing our core business and improving our efficiency," said Mario Vargas, CEO of Banco Santander Chile. "We are confident that our strategy will continue to deliver value for our customers and shareholders."

The bank's asset quality also remained strong, with a non-performing loan ratio of 2.1%, well below the industry average. The bank's capital ratio stood at 13.2%, well above the regulatory minimum.
