Amouranth and other crypto millionaires targeted by thugs
A string of brazen robberies has left several high-profile crypto millionaires, including adult entertainer Amouranth, shaken and seeking justice.
The latest victim is Amouranth, whose real name is Katherine Stuart, who took to social media to reveal that she was robbed at gunpoint in her Los Angeles home last week.
"I'm still trying to process what happened," Stuart said in a statement. "I'm grateful to be alive and I'm working with the authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice."
Stuart, who has made a fortune from her OnlyFans account and cryptocurrency investments, is just the latest in a growing list of crypto millionaires to be targeted by thieves.
Other victims include crypto trader and YouTuber, CryptoBrianna, who had her home broken into and her valuables stolen, and entrepreneur and investor, CryptoSpartan, who was robbed at gunpoint in his Miami home.
The motives behind the robberies are unclear, but law enforcement officials believe that the thieves may be targeting the victims' cryptocurrency holdings and other valuable assets.
"It's a new kind of crime that we're seeing more and more often," said an LAPD spokesperson. "These individuals are targeted because of their wealth and their ability to access their cryptocurrency accounts quickly."
The robberies have left the crypto community on high alert, with many calling for increased security measures to protect against these types of crimes.
"This is a wake-up call for all of us in the crypto space," said CryptoSpartan in a statement. "We need to take steps to protect ourselves and our assets, and we need to work with law enforcement to bring these criminals to justice."
As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information about the robberies to come forward. In the meantime, the victims are left to pick up the pieces and move forward.
"It's a difficult time for all of us, but we're not going to let these criminals win," said Amouranth. "We'll continue to thrive and grow, and we'll make sure that justice is served."
